This notice describes the minimum account information ProfileCheck is designed to collect during the current account phase. Social account connections and automated monitoring are added only when the applicable integrations are enabled.
Free public text check
The free pasted-text checker runs in your browser. ProfileCheck does not upload or save the professional details or advertising copy entered in that checker. Its input is not automatically transferred to signup or an account. The separate sample dashboard may retain prototype information in browser local storage. Normal website requests may still generate hosting access logs.
Account information
ProfileCheck may store your email address, password hash, session records, password-reset records and security/audit events needed to operate and protect your account. Passwords are not stored in plaintext.
Professional and social data
Your saved professional identity, supplied advertising copy, checks, findings and reports are retained in your account. When a social integration is enabled and authorized, ProfileCheck stores the connected profile information used for its checks and encrypts provider access tokens.
Service providers
ProfileCheck may use hosting, database and transactional-email providers to operate the service. Production provider details and retention practices will be maintained as integrations are finalized.
Your choices
In Privacy & security, you can download a private account-data export, view active sessions, sign out other sessions, and submit or cancel an account-deletion request. Exports and security actions require your current password. Export files exclude credentials, encrypted messages and internal provider identifiers. A deletion request is pending review: it does not erase data, stop monitoring or cancel billing. Permanent deletion and retention periods are not finalized or activated. You can manage available connections and alert preferences separately.
